Higher Education Data Warehousing Forum 
April 2-4, 2006
at Beckman Institute
hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The third meeting of the Higher Education Data Warehousing (HEDW) Forum, formerly known as the forum on Best Practices in Data Warehousing in Higher Education was held at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign on April 2, 2006.

The HEDW Forum included technical developers and administrators of data access and reporting systems, data custodians, institutional researchers, and consumers of data representing a variety of internal university audiences.

We were pleased to have Wayne W. Eckerson as the keynote speaker at this year’s meeting. Mr. Eckerson is the Director of Research for The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), the leading association of business intelligence and data warehousing professionals worldwide that provide high-quality, in-depth education, training, and research. He is a columnist for SearchCIO.com, DM Review, Application Development Trends, the Business Intelligence Journal, and TDWI Case Studies & Solution. His latest book, Performance Dashboards: Measuring, Monitoring, and Managing Your Business, includes tips, techniques, and trends on how to use dashboard technology to optimize business performance.
