Data Quality Advisories
The advisories listed in the table below impact the quality of data in the Data Warehouse. Users should be aware of potential issues with data quality when reporting on elements listed in these advisories.
Data quality issues can originate from many sources and can arise as the result of a variety of circumstances. Human error in data entry, discrepancies in the source system, or errors during processing into the Data Warehouse are all possible causes of data quality issues.
The information below is intended to identify what the issues are, when a user may encounter them in the EDW, and what actions a user can take to mitigate any discrepancies in reports or analysis.

T_AR_TRAN   At times, an accounts receivable transaction occurs before the customer's general student record is created. The Data Warehouse processing does not update the rows in AR_TRAN or perform additional history tracking. (The Data Warehouse processing writes the row with the information available at the time.) This causes an occassional mismatch between Banner and the Data Warehouse.

EDW - HR - University Admin Reports		 1. This table may contain inaccurate or incomplete primary job indicators.

2. A timing issue exists with this table. It is a history tracking table, therefore rows that have an effective date after midnight are not loaded. This is done to ensure the new rows are added on the correct day. A problem occurs because the new Labor Distribution Row expires the old row. The effect is that the individual will not have any active Labor Distributions until the next day when the new Labor Distribution is added.

 N/A A timing issue during the go-live process of the ITPC Banner Upgrade project (ITPC-0300) resulted in missing rows in seven Data Warehouse tables. The Admissions table errors will affect Current Applicant and Registration Census as well.
The project team is working to correct the data issues as soon as possible during the post-production project window.

T_DM_ORG		 DM - STU - Financial Aid Award by Term 1. Use of the Organization information may cause your reports to return data through the 0405 Academic Year only. To avoid this, do not use the T_DM_ORG table or Universe Objects (College Name, Campus Name, School Code, School Name, Department Name).
2. Use of Department Code information will cause your reports to return data through the 0405 Academic Year only. To avoid limiting your data, do not use the following data in your reports: College Name, Campus Name, School Code, School Name, Department Code, Department Name.
