Budget Operating Statement
This Business Objects universe contains all finance expenses at the detail level including Payroll transaction detail by person. This Universe is structured similarly to Finance - OLGL, but contains only expenditures and adds the ability to augment payroll transactions with person, position, and job information from HR/Pay data. This Universe also contains C-FOAPAL hierarchies as well as information related to financial persons. This Universe contains expense data from the current and one previous fiscal year.

This class will review the Budget Operating Statement Expenses Universe. We will create a report that shows all detailed expenses for a particular fiscal year and period for and organization.
Purchase Order/Invoices
This Business Objects universe should be used for all reporting related to requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice vouchers. Using this universe, you can create reports listing posted requisitions for a specific unit, analyze POs and their related invoice vouchers, and investigate items purchased and paid.

The Grants Proposals Business Objects universe contains information about pre-award grants (proposals) from the UIeRA system. For each proposal, users have access to the proposal budget(s), summarized budget activity for each proposal, personnel associated with the proposal, sponsoring agency information, and current status. This universe is useful for listing proposals, proposal current status, principal investigator, co investigators, proposal start and end dates, or analysis of proposal budget(s).
The Grants Inception to Date Business Objects universe contains primarily information about post-award grants and contracts. For each grant, users have access to the grant budget, detailed inception to date fiscal activity for each grant fund, personnel associated with the grant, granting agency information, and information about grant sponsor billing. This universe is useful for reporting listing grants, principal investigator, grant start and end dates, or analysis of grant expenditures and budget.

This Business Objects universe contains historical records of positions held by employees. This includes position, position attribute, and job information, as well as biographic and demographic information for employees.

This Business Objects universe contains historical records of payroll runs. This includes the gross pay, employer paid benefits, earnings transfers, re-issued checks, as well as the C-FOAPAL pay has been posted to for each employee. Also contained in this universe is position and job information.
