A variety of instructor-led courses are available to help you learn about data, use the Business Objects reporting tool, or to assist you in creating specific types of reports.
Business Objects Tool Training
- Desktop Intelligence
(Note: For all intents and purposes, Desktop Intelligence and the Desktop Intelligence courses are identical to BusinessObjects 6.5 and the previously offered BusinessObjects 6.5 courses. Therefore, if you have previously taken a BusinessObjects 6.5 course, there is no need to enroll in the Desktop Intelligence version of the course.)
- Introduction to Desktop Intelligence - demonstrates how to use the Desktop Intelligence report editor to create custom reports and analyses. - Complex Queries in Desktop Intelligence - advanced topics using the Desktop Intelligince report editor. Topics covered include: variables, calculation context, subqueries, using other data sources, and linking data sources. Download the training manual. (Bluestem login required.)
- Web Intelligence
- Introduction to Web Intelligence - demonstrates how to use the Web Intelligence report editor to create custom reports and analysis. Custom Lab Sessions : Come Practice Reporting
Decision Support offers periodic Custom Lab sessions designed to provide you with hands-on training in how to use Business Objects universes to create specific types of reports. Led by Decision Support specialists, you will learn about the data elements, report structure, and universe objects needed to create reports that meet the business needs of your office. Topics vary, and users with access to the data areas that will be covered are sent invitations by email 2-3 weeks prior to the session.
